Tour de Fleece Project #5

Rainy, rainy day in Central Kentucky today. I have been a tad under inspired as of late so have decided to spin some merino top into graduated rainbow colors. Once I have two bobbins full, I plan to ply both together for a big ol' rainbow surprise;) I figure that will give me a good kick start into spinning more alpaca!

Note to self: I must make more time for spinning. I'm always inspired to spin when I see your posts about it but there sits my spinning wheel, sad and lonely. I need to quit gallyvanting around town and spin so thanks for the motivation. Love the bright colors.

This will be so pretty-will you just let the striping happen or will you try to control the color blending when plying....?

With the plying, I'll just let it happen. Both bobbins will be spun in the same graduation, but I am expecting a little over lapping here and there which will give it more of a graduation than perfectly even;)

K.Crane, I try to make time to spin everyday even if it is just for a few minutes!

Other Fun Facts..................

I taught myself to knit by watching a woman while on a flight from Scotland to the USA in 1996.

I taught myself how to spin yarn Feb 15th, 2007. I think I've done fairly well:)

'Lunabud' is a combination of two dogs' names I was loved by, Buddy and Luna:)
