FINISHED... FINALLY!

This is a long over due project that was finally finished. Took me way too long, but the results were worth it!

Crocheted Cloche Hat with Knit I-cord Trim

Hand dyed alpaca blended with firestar. Handspun into a fingering weight single then crocheted into the cloche hat. White knit I-cord trim is hand blended merino/silk and also spun as fingering weight thick and thin.

Ta-dah! Finished Finally!

Ice world....

Internet has been up and down since Tuesday morning, but here are a few pictures of the recent ice storm we had. Everything in the pics has a light dusting of snow, but the bulk of the whiteness you are seeing is ICE! In the picture above is a row of Pear trees possibly bradfords. As you can see, the limbs which normally would be standing upright are either bent or broken off under the pressure of the ice.

Congested Area... The weight of the ice has pulled the tree limbs and trees over, down and onto the road.

Berries covered in Ice.

A power line leaning over an entire lane of the road.

An Icy Curve.

Other Fun Facts..................

I taught myself to knit by watching a woman while on a flight from Scotland to the USA in 1996.

I taught myself how to spin yarn Feb 15th, 2007. I think I've done fairly well:)

'Lunabud' is a combination of two dogs' names I was loved by, Buddy and Luna:)
