Busy week and Busier Weekend!!

Well, we are almost finished painting one of the town houses. Should be able to finish on Monday. Got all the properties mowed, one central air unit fixed (on my own), bought 30 bags of mulch to put out, went to knitty night (see, I worked in knitting:) and countless other things.

Today, I spent most of the day setting up the 'shop' for the Open House of Jessamine Counties local Primate Rescue Center. It is a non-profit rescue for chimpanzees, spider monkeys, macaques and various other types of primates. It really is a state of the art facility that houses at numerous primates. You really should check out the site to see how heart wrenching it is when the primates are rescued from places that just simple do not know how or can not properly care for them. The entire staff at the Primate Rescue Center are such hard working and dedicated people. They all, just amaze me!

To make a long rant a bit shorter, I will be volunteering there tomorrow for the open house. Today was spent setting up all the sale items, pricing and getting displays together. It should be a fun and busy day tomorrow. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we bring in tons of money for the rescue as they can use every little bit they can get!
