Slept in a bit this morning and woke up to find that my Dad had dropped off the masked marauder on my front porch. I had gone back to the shop last night a little after midnight and found the trap empty of honey bun and raccoon.
After seeing how ineffective the large trap was, I decide to switch to the little guns so to speak. I set up the smaller of the two traps with you guessed it...... More Honey Bun. This morning, the 'Masked Marauder' was caught red handed!
Just returned from letting the little fellow go and I think I am very lucky to have all my fingers and toes as the raccoon was a very unhappy camper indeed! I know he looks pretty cute in the pictures, but trust me, you don't want to have a tumble with any sized raccoon that has spent an evening in a little boxy cage. He's now free and will hopefully not wander into any open shop doors again!

Uh oh! We need one of those traps-we are getting night time visits again, too! Glad you moved your guy safely! (Hope he doesn't find his way back either!)
We have all sorts of visitors and I love them all;) Our house while in a subdivision backs up to a wooded farm. It is one small step toward country living. Hoping some day to have a home in what we like to call BFE...lol
