More Gorge Pics..

And here we are in the Daniel Boone National Forest located in Eastern KY. This is one of the first signs you see before you drive through NADA Tunnel which is an immense tunnel that was dynomited through a cliff. My pic just did not turn out for the Nada Tunnel, so will try again this week end:)

Here is my Bill all smiles on the trip. He loves camping, I love camping, it's just a darn good thing!

Yes, we do have a way to shower. It consists of a large plastic water container rigged in the tree. And since we don't have a screen set up, well, we shower in our skivies....lol Thus the hanging mismatched pair on a branch flapping in the breeze!

The project I worked on this week end, a shale pattern sock I am knitting out of the hand-dyed yarn sent to me by Kat!
The shale stitch I am using is a multiple of 15 stitches; Round/row 1: Knit all. round/row 2: Knit all. Round/row 3: Purl all. Round/row 4: (K2tog, K2tog, M1, K1, M1, K1, M1, K1, M1, K2tog, K2tog) repeat from (- to -) to end. Think I might have to try a feather and fan pattern for socks next! Repeating those 4 rounds/rows until the heel:)

Aw, and here is Miss Piper the Newfoundland wading in the stream and having a long cool drink after we hiked up the mountain side. She and I have so much fun while the guys are gone from the camp site...lol We knit, nap, hill-walk and shower:) What more could a couple of gals want for?

That sock is goregous. I love the color! I've not seen very much red...but maybe that is because I've got pink/yellow/orange fever at the time...I love your dog too. Newfies are one of my fav dogs!

And she's a great dog too! I think I took more pics of her than anything else:) It's just that everything she does is so darn CUTE!!

Other Fun Facts..................

I taught myself to knit by watching a woman while on a flight from Scotland to the USA in 1996.

I taught myself how to spin yarn Feb 15th, 2007. I think I've done fairly well:)

'Lunabud' is a combination of two dogs' names I was loved by, Buddy and Luna:)
