2010 Garden

Did not have much time for gardening this year except to put out a few of our favorites!

Tomatoes for this year are Stripey, German Johnson, Brandywine and mystery tomato seeds that sprouted from last year. They were put out mid-May and are already 5' tall;)

Peppers have only been in the ground about 4 weeks, but so far so good!

A little visitor we always enjoy seeing.

A larger visitor is welcome too!

Put out blueberries this year as well. There probably will not be a huge yield this year, but next years little bush crop will probably be much better!

Happy Belated Independence Day!

It just would not be the 4th of July around here if we were not down at Herrington Lake ! This year though we changed it up and kept it to just the two of us on the boat. Previous years, we would invite folks but it always got a little out of hand. We decided this year to not have the added head ache of trying to keep boisterous company in control. Thus, not having to worry about water patrol and just enjoy the thundering booms and echos of the show.

It is not the best video as it was shot from the boat during the last few minutes of the show, but it gives you a good idea of how much fun it was.

New Demented Creations

I have some new yummie creations for LunabudKnits......

Demented Spinning Batts!!

I have been playing around with the Strauch Mad Batt'r and it has definitely been a dementedly fun time. So much fun that they're going to take me away he-he-ha-ha-ho-ho-hum-hum! It's all about fun art battyness with these lovelies! Fiber is loaded on in droves of chunky goodness with spots of sweet lucidity. The demented batts are all wool based, but have some of the most spectacular add ins I have. I will try to list all the madening little bits, but you might get some other fun hidden stuff as well such as mohair locks, flax, hemp, bamboo, glitz, angelina, firestar, cotton, silk, silk noil, sari silk, ribbons, wensleydale, lincoln, merino, tunis, etc.

A Long Walk

A friend of my Dad's has the good fortune to live on a 300+ acre farm with a multitude of paths and old grown over roads. As time allows, which has not been very often as of late, I like to take a carefree walk along the dirt, gravel and black topped paths.

But it does not seem to effect the sparrow population.

Kitty Snack

Yes, our Little Kitty is not quite so little any more and definitely spoiled rotten to the bone. Bill always has a late night snack before going to bed and Little Kitty is always right there to beg for a scrap or two. And Bill has grown rather fond of Little Kitty, can not seem to resist the charm of our fat little furry friend when he comes begging.

The Wool Tent - 2010

Last year, we had an absolute blast at the KY Wool Fest in the Wool Tent. This year is gearing up to be just as fun for the whole family! There are tons of arts & crafts, demonstrations, a petting zoo, music, and of course an entire tent full of fibery goodness. Mark your Calenders for October 1-3 and come visit us in Falmouth, KY!

Lunabud Knits at Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival!

It has been a long time coming for my post about the Kentucky sheep and Fiber Festival! I have to say it was an absolute blast and I will definitely be back for more next year! About the only draw back was that on set up day, I pulled a muscle and probably tore a ligament in my arm and am just now to the point that I can sit at the puter with out pain. Other than that, it was an absolutely fabulous week end!

Here are a few pictures for you:) I have a ton more and hope to get them up soon! If you couldn't make it this year, I sure hope you do next year!
