Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival

The weeks leading up to the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival were to say the least a hectic one. But I am a firm believer that God does not give you more than you can bear and sometimes it just best to simply roll with the punches.....more about this later though.

Any how the show went off with out a hitch and I managed to get my booth set up and reschedule the Spinning Art Yarn class. I have to say that everyone on the committee for the Festival really pulled their weight to make the second event even better than the first. What an incredible team we have.

My brother was in from Japan with the little Luke man;). So good to see our family all together even if for a short while.

A Long Walk

A friend of my Dad's has the good fortune to live on a 300+ acre farm with a multitude of paths and old grown over roads. As time allows, which has not been very often as of late, I like to take a carefree walk along the dirt, gravel and black topped paths.

Roads Leading to far away barns

This lady bug should tread lightly!

Because danger lurks below

It's a game of cat and bird.

Or raccoon and bird.

Winter Wheat before harvesting.

Yarrow a local wild flower.

Barns with silos.

The city creeps closer day by day.

But it does not seem to effect the sparrow population.

And as the moon shows it's face you know the day is done.

The Wool Tent - 2010

Last year, we had an absolute blast at the KY Wool Fest in the Wool Tent. This year is gearing up to be just as fun for the whole family! There are tons of arts & crafts, demonstrations, a petting zoo, music, and of course an entire tent full of fibery goodness. Mark your Calenders for October 1-3 and come visit us in Falmouth, KY!
